July 2004
The site has now finally been updated with lots of new information
and features thank you to everyone for their interest in B-Movie and
for being patient whilst we have developed this website.
For all those that have been asking we can now confirm that negotiations
are taking place to release 'Forever Running' on CD for the very first
time. Itıs hopefully being re-released in its original format by the
LA based label Superfecta Recordings www.superfecta.com.
The exact release date is as yet unconfirmed . Unfortunately due to
their stringent regulations Warners (who own the rights) will not allow
the re-release to contain any additional tracks or re-mixes. In a perfect
world we would have liked to have seen the re-mixes of 'Switch On Switch
Off' & 'Forever Running' by Bruce Forest & Ivan Ivan included on the
re-issue plus of course the single & 12² versions of 'A Letter From
Afar'. However this has not been possible !!??
Some other good news however is that as part of an on going project
the Canadian label, Hush Music, are going to issue a re-mixes of Nowhere
Girl. These will be completely new remixed versions Steve has already
re-recorded the vocals and Hush Music via various producers are providing
a completely new set of variations of the track. Hopefully this will
also be available soon but weıll keep you posted on the release date
right here when we have anything confirmed.
Another interesting development is that American electro rock band 'The
Faint' have a song called 'Southern Belles' on their forthcoming album''
which contains the vocal melody, chord progression and musical theme
elements of 'Remembrance Day'. It's neither a cover or a straight re-working
but we think you'll like it.
Finally B-Movie would like to apologise for their non-appearance at
the Elektrofest event. This was due to numerous circumstances beyond
our control and we hope that there weren't too many disappointed fans
out there. Steve Hovington has left a more personal apology on the messageboard
and it's hoped a new date can be re-scheduled soon.

March 2003
Cherry Red Records are releasing a compilation cd containing four
sessions the band recorded for the BBC between 1981-1984. It's released
in mid July 2001.
This is great news as two of these sessions are previously unreleased
and contain some of the band's finest work (Mediterranean, No Shadow
of a Doubt, Amnesia etc.).
On a sad note, the BBC unfortunately no longer seem to have the master
tapes of a session reecorded in Birmingham during 1982 for the Peter
Powell show.
We are also trying to trace a television performance of Remembrance
Day made by Yorkshire Television for their 'Calendar' show in October
1982. YTV have apparently erased the tape - DOH!
On a similar note we would also be interested in any video footage of
B-Movie playing at the Futurama Festival at Bingley Hall in Stafford.
If anyone can help us acquire any of this archive material please e-mail
us.
